Be Free; Happy Period with Sanitary Napkins

We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart. It has been found in a survey had in rural area that 66% girls & women don't know about precautions and hygiene to be taken while menstruation. Also, according to the survey, 67% girls do not use sanitary pads. Being known about sanitary pads notwithstanding, they are not able to use it. The only reason behind it is sanitary pads are costly to them.

Rural women use piece of cloth, cotton, paper and such other things while menstruation which is so harmful for them. It leads them to several diseases or disorders. To deal with this concrete problem, with the joint support of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation, more then 150 packets of sanitary napkins were distributed to 50 marginalised and deprived women in 4 villages. Using sanitary pads, they will be able to maintain hygiene and prevent themselves from several diseases or disorders.

All women were happy to get sanitary pads because they were economically weak and couldn't afford sanitary pads. Most of the women are not able to buy these pads due to shyness, public shame, traditional evils and poverty. Now, with the joint support of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving, all such women are getting sanitary pads easily. Now rural women are doing daily routine works and labour with an ease. Sanitary pads are easy to decompose, therefore, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with its women activists, organise meetings for rural women to explain them the use and advantages of sanitary pads. All rural women participated enthusiastically and shared their experiences with the women activists. All women thank Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation for all of this.
