NFTE Bay Area will host 40 youth from under-resourced schools at the University of San Francisco for this full-day MBA immersion program.
For students in low-income communities, higher education often seems out-of-reach and not worth pursuing. The lifetime effects of this decision are staggering, as college graduates earn an additional $1 million in their careers. NFTE Bay Area aims to use the "MBA for a Day" program to help youth from these areas learn first-hand what getting an MBA can do for your career.
MBA for a Day helps youth from low-income communities raise their aspirations for college and their professional lives by networking with MBA's and learning what it takes to get into college. 40 NFTE students will get the chance to learn with, and from, University of San Francisco students, in order to discover the many benefits, and challenges of, chasing a degree.
By working to keep at-risk students engaged in their school work, NFTE spurs its participants to graduate high school and dare to dream of a brighter future. Whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or start their own business, NFTE instills an entrepreneurial mindset in young people so they can plan for success. Since 1987 NFTE has worked with almost 500,000 students across the U.S. and around the world.
