Thanks so much for supporting evacuees like Delia.
Delia is forty eight years old and she lives with her four children in Banaba, just outside Manila. They can’t afford to live somewhere safe, and their house is dangerously close to a river.
Every year there are typhoons and floods, and Delia’s house is often inundated.
Delia lives in constant danger and fear. She desperately needs her nearest evacuation center to be finished so that her family has somewhere safe to go when the worst inevitably happens again.
And now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to continue work on Delia’s evacuation center. The interior still need rendering, and the building needs equipping with bunk beds. This will take time to complete, but work will continue one brick wall and bunk bed at a time.
So, your donations will have an immediate impact protecting Delia from floods and typhoons. Thank you so much.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Delia, her family, and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. I’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for helping to ensure that Delia will have a safe refuge when she next needs it most.
