Thanks so much for helping to provide a safe refuge for evacuees like Antonio.
Seventy five year old Antonio lives with his three grandchildren in Banaba, just outside Manila. Antonio’s house is poorly constructed and is dangerously close to a river. Every year there are typhoons and floods, and Antonio’s house is often inundated.
Antonio lives in constant danger and fear. He desperately needs his nearest evacuation center to be finished so that his family has somewhere safe to go when the worst inevitably happens again.
And now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to continue work on Antonio’s evacuation center. Several walls still need rendering, and the building needs equipping with bunk beds. This will take time to complete, but work will continue one brick wall and bunk bed at a time. So, your donations will have an immediate impact protecting Antonio from floods and typhoons. Thank you so much.
Antonio had this to say about your help:
“This is awesome; a big help to us. I am very thankful and happy too because there guys like you who extend assistance to us. Continuing this humanitarian effort will provide immeasurable help to us."
We’ll send you further updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Antonio, his family, and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. I’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that Antonio will have a safe refuge when he next needs it most.
