GlobalGiving’s March 2020 Little by Little Campaign

Terms + Conditions

DATES + ELIGIBILITY

• GlobalGiving’s 2020 March Little by Little Matching Campaign runs from 09:00:00 ET on Monday, March 23, 2020, to 23:59:59 ET on Friday, March 27, 2020.
• All Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations, with the exception of Indian-banked organizations, are eligible to participate in the Little by Little Matching Campaign. Emerging organizations and GlobalGiving-sponsored projects and Funds are also ineligible to participate in this campaign.
• All active projects and microprojects associated with eligible organizations will be automatically included on the campaign leaderboard (no opt in required).
  • New projects must be submitted to GlobalGiving for review by Wednesday, March 18 at 5pm ET.
  • For microprojects, check the expiration date as GlobalGiving cannot extend the 90 day time period.
• Please allow for 2-3 business days for GlobalGiving to approve project reports, project appeals, and project edits related to the campaign.
• Disbursement of funds raised and awarded in this campaign will be included in the usual monthly disbursement process.

MATCHING FUNDS

• During Little by Little, all eligible donations up to $50 per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% for as long as the campaign is live. Matching funds will be available throughout the entire five-day campaign.
• GlobalGiving’s 100% Monthly Match is also available to the GlobalGiving nonprofit community for all of 2020, and this includes the March Little by Little Campaign week. New monthly donations set up during this week will be eligible for both matches: the immediate 50% Little by Little match (up to $50) and, as long as the donation remains active for a minimum of four payments, the 100% monthly match (up to $200).Download the accompanying graphics!
• Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. We are monitoring these and other parameters in our system to ensure that only distinct donors are counted.
• For the purposes of calculating matching amounts, donations made in other currencies will be converted to USD. The exchange rate will be estimated at the time of the donation, but may be subject to change until the donation settles with the donor’s bank or credit card. Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.
• GlobalGiving reserves the right to make final decisions on all matters concerning the allocation of matching funds.

BONUS PRIZES

• At the end of the campaign, bonus prizes will be awarded to the top projects in the following categories:
  • Most Funds Raised: $2,000, $1,000, $600, $400
  • Most Unique Donors: $2,000, $1,000, $600, $400
  • Most Monthly Donors: $1,000, $750, $250
• Organizations are limited to winning one bonus prize per category.
• Bonus prizes are awarded at the project level.
• Projects must raise donations from at least 20 unique donors to be eligible for bonus prizes.
• To maximize your chance of winning a bonus prize, pick one project to promote during the campaign.

DONATION ELIGIBILITY

• Eligible Donations: Online donations (credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and individually purchased GlobalGiving gift cards) and mobile donations through M-Changa will count towards your total raised during the Little by Little week.
• Donations must be made by the account or credit card holder.
• Ineligible Donations: Cash, check, corporate gift card redemptions, CAF check, CAF Online, wire transfers, text-to-give donations, donations made via JustGiving, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, or donations made directly to an organization rather than a project.
• Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.
• Any activity not in the spirit of requesting separate individuals to support donations is being moderated by GlobalGiving and GlobalGiving reserves the right to permanently disqualify organizations for any attempts of misconduct.

TAX EFFICIENT GIVING + FULFILLMENT FEE

• Tax Efficiency: GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
• Fulfillment Fee: GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations, the nonprofit support fee is 5%; for organizations outside the US and UK, it is 7%. During the Little by Little Matching Campaign, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to bonus prizes or matching funds earned. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors.
