African Angels’ classrooms run solely on donor funds. Nonprofit leader Lou Billett explains how monthly donations provide regular income they can rely on.
We value every single dollar a person donates, and small monthly donations mean people who don’t have a lot themselves, but want to give, can.
We are aiming to cover all our teacher’s salaries by monthly donations, but right now, monthly donations cover 20% of our monthly teacher salaries, which is just so important when we rely completely on donations. We use 100% of every dollar we receive to support the teachers who are the core of the work we do—providing a quality primary school education by exceptional teachers for children who will innovate and be the hope for our future.
“Monthly recurring donations have become the lifeblood of our organization and give us some sense of certainty of a regular monthly income that we can rely on.”
