July Bonus Day is a 24-hour crowdfunding campaign designed to celebrate high-dollar donors and help GlobalGiving partners move smaller-dollar donors up to new giving heights. To celebrate July Bonus Day with our nonprofit community, GlobalGiving is providing $150K in matching/incentive funds and $9K in bonus prizes.

Eligible organizations must opt in to the campaign via their GlobalGiving dashboard. You must opt in by June 17, 2026 23:59:59 EDT to participate in the campaign.

The $150K Incentive Fund will be distributed proportionally based on final fundraising totals. Every project that activates donors will earn something, and the projects that bring in the most dollars will win the largest portion of the Incentive Fund. Each participant’s portion of the Incentive Fund is determined as follows: [Total Eligible Project Donations] ÷ [Total Donations To All Projects in the campaign] * [$150,000] ≈ Your portion of the Incentive Fund

That's great! Please note that GlobalGiving will only match the first $1,500 of their donation. Any amount donated above $1,500 will increase your organization's chances of winning one of the bonus prizes.

July Bonus Day begins on July 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM EDT, and ends on July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM EDT. Any donations received before or after this 24-hour period will not be eligible to be matched from the Incentive Fund. Per the campaign Terms + Conditions, donations cannot be pre-collected and must be made by the individual on the day of the campaign.

Allocation of the $150K Incentive Fund will be displayed on the leaderboard and will be recalculated every three minutes until the campaign ends.

Online donations (credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and individually purchased GlobalGiving gift cards) and mobile donations through M-Changa will count towards your total raised in the campaign. Ineligible donation methods include cash, check, corporate gift card redemptions, CAF check, CAF Online, wire transfers, text-to-give donations, donations made via JustGiving, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, or donations made directly to an organization rather than a project. Traditional matching campaign models don’t scale to fit campaigns with organizations and donors around the globe. The Incentive Fund allows us to use a proportional match, rather than a percentage match, which is fairer to all participants, regardless of their time zones. With the Incentive Fund, funding won’t run out before the sun rises where you or your donors live.

At the end of the campaign, GlobalGiving will award additional prizes to the top-performing projects in three categories. Prizes will be awarded at the individual project level, so pick one project to promote during the campaign to maximize your chances of winning a prize.
