2025 July Bonus Day campaign

July 16 - 17, 2025

July Bonus Day is a 24-hour crowdfunding campaign designed to celebrate high-dollar donors and help GlobalGiving partners move smaller-dollar donors up to new giving heights. Accordingly, eligible donations between $100 and $1,000 will receive a portion of the $125,000 Incentive Fund. The more your organization raises, the more incentive funds you'll unlock. Furthermore, there are $9,000 in bonus prizes for top-performing projects!

We encourage you to mobilize donors to give anytime within the campaign period, starting on July 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT, and ending on July 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT. All eligible donations will be matched!

It is important to note that donations must be made by the donor. GlobalGiving will monitor and proactively disqualify donations assumed to be pre-collected or combined.

Organization Eligibility
All Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations are eligible for this campaign. Eligible organizations can opt in via their GlobalGiving dashboard from June 3, 2025, to June 30, 2025.

Project Eligibility
GlobalGiving will include all active projects associated with organizations that meet the opt-in and project submission deadlines. For microprojects, check the expiration date as GlobalGiving cannot extend the 90-day time period.

How do I join the 2025 July Bonus Day campaign?
Eligible organizations can opt in to the campaign via their GlobalGiving dashboard, starting on June 3, 2025. You must opt in between June 3, 2025, and June 30, 2025, to participate in the campaign.
How will the $125K Incentive Fund be distributed among partners?
The $125K Incentive Fund will be distributed proportionally based on final fundraising totals. Every project that activates donors will earn something, and the projects that bring in the most dollars will win the largest portion of the Incentive Fund. Each participant’s portion of the Incentive Fund is determined as follows: [Total Eligible Project Donations] ÷ [Total Donations To All Projects in the campaign] * [$125,000] ≈ Your portion of the Incentive Fund
What if a donor wants to give more than $1,000 to our project?
That's great! Please note that GlobalGiving will only match the first $1,000 of their donation. Any amount donated above $1,000 will increase your organization's chances of winning one of the bonus prizes.
What if a donor donates before the campaign has started?
July Bonus Day begins on July 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT, and ends on July 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT. Any donations received before or after this 24-hour period will not be eligible to be matched from the Incentive Fund. Can we pre-collect donations from our donors and give during the campaign?
Per the campaign Terms + Conditions, donations cannot be pre-collected and must be made by the individual on the day of the campaign.
How will I know how much of the Incentive Fund / matching my organization will receive?
Allocation of the $125K Incentive Fund will be displayed on the leaderboard and will be recalculated every three minutes until the campaign ends.
What donation methods are eligible for this campaign?
Online donations (credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and individually purchased GlobalGiving gift cards) and mobile donations through M-Changa will count towards your total raised in the campaign. Ineligible donation methods include cash, check, corporate gift card redemptions, CAF check, CAF Online, wire transfers, text-to-give donations, donations made via JustGiving, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, or donations made directly to an organization rather than a project. Why use the Incentive Fund model?
Traditional matching campaign models don’t scale to fit campaigns with organizations and donors around the globe. The Incentive Fund allows us to use a proportional match, rather than a percentage match, which is fairer to all participants, regardless of their time zones. With the Incentive Fund, funding won’t run out before the sun rises where you or your donors live.
How will the bonus prizes work?
At the end of the campaign, GlobalGiving will award additional prizes to the top-performing projects in three categories. Prizes will be awarded at the individual project level, so pick one project to promote during the campaign to maximize your chances of winning a prize.
