THE CHALLENGE
For 31 days, from 25 September to 25 October, a group of SWAG supporters will each run and/or walk a total of 100 kilometers to raise funds for tiger conservation in Malaysia.
WHY 100 KILOMETERS?
Dr. Kae Kawanishi, general manager of the Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT), has a dream for 100 wild Malayan tigers to roam freely in Taman Negara National Park. According to a recent survey, there are fewer than 50 individuals that call the national park home today, even though the area is able to support double the population as well as the prey that is needed. Dr. Kae's dream inspired us to commit to running and/or walking 100 kilometers for 100 tigers.
