Hi, my name is Sofía Pastor, I’m 17 years old and I’m from Lima, Peru.
I am currently on a gap year focused on developing my leadership skills and preparing myself to create meaningful impact in my community. After being selected for Beca Cometa Camp (an initiative by Intercorp that supports high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds), I became even more motivated to continue seeking opportunities that challenge me and help me grow.
Recently, I was accepted into the Latin American Leadership Academy (LALA), a program that brings together young leaders from across the region and provides them with the tools, mentorship, and network needed to turn ideas into real social impact.
For me, this opportunity represents much more than just a program—it is a step toward becoming the kind of leader I aspire to be.
Although I received a partial scholarship, I still need to raise 1,111.50 soles to cover the remaining cost.
I have worked hard to reach this point, and I don’t want financial limitations to prevent me from taking this opportunity.
