At UWC Costa Rica, Service Week is the culmination of our holistic experiential learning model. Through it, all our 203 students and 35 staff members travel to 14+ communities across Costa Rica to engage in service-learning while exploring the natural and cultural beauty that Costa Rica has to offer.
This program allows our students to experience first-hand how social impact can be achieved through many different ways and learn that every action, from small to big, can have a big impact.
The investment needed to mobilize our students and staff members across Costa Rica to accomplish more than 6,000 hours of community service is $40,000.
This year, we are asking your help to not only cover the minimum budget needed for our Service Week in February 2020, but to help us raise an additional $5,000 that that will increase the reach and impact of at least 2 of our upcoming Service Week projects by either adding resources that will allow us to escalate existing projects or develop new community partnerships to add a new project options for our students.
Will you join us in shaping agents of change grounded in servant leadership and nature?
