This is a fundraiser to raise money for the victims of Harvey & Irma Relief Fund. Here's some more information about it:

"—" is an art installation sponsored by Hybrid Space to raise donations for the Seattle for Hurricane Relief fund which will aid in long term recovery from both Hurricane Harvey and Irma. The installation was inspired by the line floodwaters leave as it recedes. Black plastic bisects the room covering the walls as well as the floors symbolizing all the possessions lost. Light projected in the space create the impression of water ripples on the ceiling, the cause of devastation left behind.
