As you may know, in 2013 I traveled to Wamunyu, Kenya with St. John's and Kenya Connect. While I was there, I was amazed by the work of Kenya Connect. They are making a huge difference to children working in extreme poverty. I have never seen extreme conditions--- most of the kids live without running water or electricty, yet they are full of joy and eager to learn. Please support my run and the work of an organization means a lot to me.

Imagine students in rural Kenya using computers and reading books! The Kenya Connect Learning Resource Center engages and empowers students and teachers from our 55 partner schools through access to technology including STEAM programs and computer literacy for girls and boys . This coupled with programs like KC's reusable sanitary pads and empowerment programs for girls and our rent-to-own solar light and library program to boost literacy are making a profound difference in rural Kenya. progress report
