I will be returning to Ecuador where I worked in 2011 in May to take part in a multi-day charity challenge climbing volcanoes and spending a day on a construction project to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The Phoenix Projects (www.thephoenixprojects.org) working in the country and raising much-needed funds for their work in Latin America.
Your donation will go towards the construction project as well as local teachers' salaries, daily food, educational materials and sustainable income plans for the families.
Dom, the founder, will write you a thank you email through Global Giving once you donate and if you have any questions about their work, please do ask him. Do check your spam folder if you haven't heard from him after donating!
The following are examples of how your donations can help:
$10 towards classroom materials
$25 towards food
$50 towards the construction project
$100 towards family sustainable income plans
$200 towards local teachers' salaries
$500 towards salaries, plans, materials, the construction project and food
Trees will also be planted in Guatemala to offset my carbon footprint for undertaking the challenge including flights and transport in-country.
Thank you so much for your sponsorship!
Cheers
