2026 Trek to Everest Base Camp for Unseen
In November 2026, I’ll be trekking to Everest Base Camp to raise funds for Unseen, an incredible UK charity working to end human trafficking, modern slavery and exploitation.
I first came across Unseen through my work when the UK Modern Slavery Act came into force. Until then, I hadn’t realised how much our demand for cheap goods was tied to the exploitation of workers — not just overseas, but here in the UK too.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide live in conditions that amount to slavery, including around 120,000–150,000 people in the UK. Many of them are British citizens, trapped in industries like agriculture, construction, and healthcare.
Unseen is leading the fight against this. They run safehouses for survivors, operate a 24/7 modern slavery helpline, educate schools and businesses, and work with government to improve legislation — all without any government funding.
By supporting my trek, you’ll be helping Unseen continue their vital work: giving survivors safety and dignity, raising awareness, and tackling exploitation at its roots.
We can’t change everything overnight, but together we can make a real difference.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Unseen get closer to their goal — a world without slavery.
Thank you so much for your support. ❤️
