Hello Community of Great Bay,
In the largest state-versus-state attack since World War II, Russia has invaded Ukraine. Millions of civilians are trapped in the center of a worsening war and humanitarian disaster, with increasing casualties. The full-fledged war in Ukraine is wreaking havoc on the country. In response to Russia's invasion, more than 3.4 million people have fled Ukraine. Millions more are internally displaced, making this Europe's fastest-growing refugee catastrophe. A humanitarian crisis had already developed in eastern Ukraine after eight years of military strife. The COVID-19 epidemic is a new issue for communities already dealing with high levels of violence and insecurity.
We have students, instructors, and staff from all over the world at Great Bay, including individuals from Ukraine and Russia – as well as those who have family, friends, or loved ones who live in these, and surrounding countries. We've been discussing what's going on in faraway places and trying to figure out what role we could play here that would be meaningful and have decided to take part in the support towards humanitarian aid. Great Bay will be working with Global Giving and raise donations toward their Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund over the next 2 weeks (Mon. April 4th – Fri. April 15th) in the Portsmouth Front Lobby and through our online Global Giving account. Any amount of donation is gratefully accepted from any member of our community.
We will be giving away raffle tickets per every 5$ donation that can be put toward a free 4-credit one semester transferrable class here at Great Bay! We will be selecting and announcing one winner on Monday April 18th and notifying them via their registered email address or phone number.

Your contribution to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund will help to deliver the following:
Shelter, Food, and Clean Water to Refugees in need
Support for Health and Psychosocial Issues
Education and Financial Support
