On April 16, 2016 our country Ecuador was hit by a 7.8 earthquake in the province of Manabi. We never imagined that our country would suffer a natural disaster of that magnitude that left at least 673 killed people and more than 16,600 others were injured. Almost a year later many families continue without work and I can not think of those mothers who lost their children and now they were in charge of their grandchildren and relatives.
