For my Bar Mitzvah project I want to help kids my age who are less fortunate than me. My Torah portion is Yitro, which is when the Jewish people received the 10 Commandments from G-d. Those Commandments, and the Torah, obligate us to fulfill the concept of Tikkun Olam, which is to repair and heal the world through acts of giving. My Bar Mitzvah project’s goal is to make a difference to the young, underprivileged youth of South Africa thru the work of Afrika Tikkun.
