Summary
In Liberia, did you know that thousands of orphans are deprived of their fundamental right to education? They suffer poverty and displacement without parental care. These young children carry significant burdens at such a tender age. Through our project, we strive to reach out and provide free education to 450 underprivileged girl students in Liberia. We are dedicated to offering an opportunity for a better future to these children facing challenging circumstances.
Challenge
These girl children are forced to drop out of school and resort to early marriage and child labor. Instead of holding pens and notebooks, they clutch picks and irons, struggling to earn a meager living while enduring the harsh cold that gnaws at their tender bodies. They not only lack education but also the care of loving parents. This poses a threat to their future.
Solution
Providing free education to underprivilege children through multiple programs that enable them to acquire comprehensive knowledge, starting from school education and progressing towards vocational training that equips them with skills for the job market. Interactive online education is implemented to reach as many children as possible, regardless of their place of residence. This process involves four programs: School Education, Student Activities, Academic Guidance, and Vocational Training.
Long-Term Impact
Through educating the underprivileged, we empower them to achieve their goals and become self-sufficient individuals equipped with knowledge and skills to care for themselves and their families. We reintegrate them into the education system and provide vocational training to equip them with the necessary skills for entering the job market. This enables them to earn a decent income and improve their quality of life without relying on external assistance.
