I'm walking a half marathon on Friday 28th August in support of habitat expansion for wild tigers in India. 100,000 trees plus native grasses across 250 acres in Bandhavgarh, India, to be precise!
Tiger numbers have been recovering in Bandhavgarh, India, thanks to the work of Tigers4Ever - operating extensive anti-poaching patrols, constructing and maintaining waterholes and installing solar lights around villages to reduce tiger / human conflict.
More tigers need more space to hunt, breed and make territories. So we're restoring a massive area of forest and grassland to give them just that! It's our biggest project yet, with a whopping £170,000 price tag.
The furthest I can ever remember walking is around 8 miles, so this is a push for me! I'll be joining the #2legsfor4 initiative, starting in Brockenhurst in the New Forest, through to Bransgore and down to Bournemouth seafront, finishing in Poole. With a break of a few miles somewhere in between!
Please please donate and make it worth my while!
