I’m DJ Rob R, and I’m organising a fundraising DJ event to support families in the Upcountry tea estates - communities that are often unseen and unheard, despite carrying so much of Sri Lanka’s history and economy on their shoulders.
The funds raised will go directly to Tea Leaf Trust (TLT), a respected Sri Lankan NGO established in 2010. TLT works inside the tea estates every day and has a deep understanding of local needs. They are trusted by the community and able to quickly identify and support those facing the greatest hardship - whether through emergency relief, education, or creating new opportunities for young people.
Many families in these areas already face daily struggles: low income, limited transport and unreliable access to basic services. But with recent landslides, flooding, trees falling, bus routes stopping and electricity cuts across the Upcountry, life has become even harder. Support is now needed more than ever.
My aim is simple: to raise awareness and offer real support through a proven organisation already working on the ground. If you are able to contribute, it will make a direct difference to those who need it most.
