We are members of the Danica Women's Choir from Zagreb. The choir was founded in 1999 and we have been singing together for many years.
We perform works of Croatian and world heritage, from medieval to contemporary musicians, and we especially cherish original Croatian chants that are rarely performed.
We participate in city and international competitions, as well as in festive performances on the occasion of the anniversaries of various associations, and we also sing in retirement homes.
With our singing, we want to convey to the audience the love for music, which is also the true motive of our work.
We decided to support the project WE EMPOWER CROATIAN CHILDREN TO OVERCOME FEARS with a spring musical performance and to cheer up 25 children from a nearby school and 50 people of good will from our neighborhood.
We believe that this project deserves our support, because the most important thing for us is the care of children.
Here we are especially thinking of the children who experienced various fears from the earthquake in Zagreb in March 2020, and then later in December of the same year. Zagreb is also our city and with this gesture we want to encourage people to get involved in humanitarian projects and to set an example
that good things can be achieved if people agree and have a common goal. And since the goal of this project is to empower children and their mental health,
we decided to join. We are looking forward to cooperation with the Libera Association because we love positive stories and believe in the project
WE EMPOWER CROATIAN CHILDREN TO OVERCOME FEARS.
We want children to enjoy our musical performances and with the help of the project, to get involved in various activities that will remove their fears and to enjoy outdoor activities and that our entire Trešnjevka neighborhood is bathed in children's smiles.
We believe that our musical performance, with artistic guidance, will master of music pedagogy, Mr. Ropac, to interest a large number of children and that after her they will want to sing in the choir.
That will be excellent opportunity to educate them about our Croatian musical tradition, related to choral singing.
