Join Me on a 500km Journey Across Japan for a Noble Cause
This May, I'm embarking on an a new adventure – cycling 500km across the scenic landscapes of Japan, not just for the thrill of it, but for a cause close to my heart. I'm riding to support Mirai no Mori, a remarkable organization dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children in Japan.
About Mirai no Mori:
Mirai no Mori stands as a beacon of hope for children who have faced abuse, neglect, and the challenges of institutional care. Through life-changing outdoor programs, they empower these young people.
Why I'm Riding:
Organized by the Knights in White Lycra (KIWL) – a compassionate group of expatriates with a decade-long legacy of giving back – this event is more than just a ride. It's a commitment to fitness, community, and most importantly, to the children who need our support. As an expat myself, this is my way of giving back to the land that has become my home.
This journey is also a personal challenge. After years away from the levels of exercise I used to do, this is no leisurely holiday ride for me – it's a test of endurance, a push towards regaining my fitness, and a pledge to make a difference.
Event Details:
Dates: May 30 - June 2, 2024
Route: 500km across the breathtaking vistas of Japan
How You Can Help:
Every pedal stroke is a step towards hope for these children, and every donation you make fuels this journey of change. Whether large or small, your contribution matters immensely.
I'm reaching out to ask for your support – not just as a sponsor, but as a partner in this mission. Together, we can help Mirai no Mori in their vital work, making a lasting impact on the lives of those they serve.
Thank you for considering this cause. Let's make a difference, one kilometer at a time.
