APEM will construct hand pump wells and toilets and conduct training on good hygiene practices in 30 schools in the Bo District of Sierra Leone. The project will last 12 months, cost US$ 93,000 and benefit 9,000 boys and girls in 30 schools. Hand pump wells and ventilated toilets were destroyed during the nationwide 1991-2002 civil war in Sierra Leone. 30 schools in the Bo District Wunde and Jaiama Bongor chiefdoms still remain unassisted.
