In June, me and 44 other cyclists will ride 500km through Japan over 4 days to raise money for the Mirai no Mori charity.
This is going to be a very tough challenge - each day is between 100 - 150kms, with a lot of climbing too. This is next level and like nothing I've done before - serious training is required!
Yes, I do love cycling, but my main motivation is to raise money for the fantastic Mirai no Mori charity here in Japan. They create life-changing outdoor programs for abused, neglected, and orphaned children in Japan, supporting their growth into happy and successful young adults. These children are unfortunately under represented in Japanese society so Mirai no Mori provide valuable life skills that they will require when they leave the care system and become independent.
Find more details on their website: https://mirai-no-mori.jp/.
This fundraising is with KIWL - a group here in Japan that have raised a significant amount in their last 10 years for various different charities, and I'm excited to be a part of their next big fund raiser.
Any amount you could spare in a donation would be greatly appreciated, it all counts.
Thank you
