My name is Talia. I have been dancing acrobatic rock and roll for many years. I decided to participate in this project with my dancing. I adore children and currently attend the Teacher Education Faculty in Zagreb.
With my performance I want to raise funds for the project WE EMPOWER CROATIAN CHILDREN TO OVERCOME FEARS.
I think this project deserves my support, because it takes care of the children, who have experienced fears of the earthquake in Zagreb in March 2020 and then later in December the same year.
Zagreb is also my city and at the time of the earthquake I felt helpless and frightened. With the support of family and friends, I was able to forget about the unfortunate experience.
However, it is harder for the children. They don’t want to talk about that experience and are afraid of the potential judgmental surroundings. That is why they need the help of experts.
In particular, animal-assisted therapy will be of paramount importance for their mental health and wellbeing.
Specifically, we are talking about the horses in the Jarun Equestrian Club, which distract children from the memory of the negative event. It is necessary for children to stay in the fresh air as much as possible and to be physically active.
I believe that my dance performance will encourage them to start doing it as well.
My dance is special, I completely dedicate myself to it and I love the movement and music which inspires and completes everything into a perfect whole. I believe that my performance in the park will also attract a lot of people, who will be willing to donate to this project and/or who will contribute to its success with their positive attitude.
I look forward to the cooperation with Libera, I love positive stories and I believe in the project WE EMPOWER CROATIAN CHILDREN TO OVERCOME FEARS.
Zagreb is a particularly lovely place to live in and I want its wounds and the wounds of its little inhabitants to heal as soon as possible and for the city to be as it was before the earthquake; full of joy and happiness.
And that its beautiful parks (#Maksimir, #Bundek, #Jarun # Trešnjevka) echo of children's laughter again.
I also believe that with my dance performance I will interest a large number of children in this sport, which has brought me a lot of happiness, joy, wonderful company and friendship.
The beautiful nature of Zagreb's parks, fresh air, dance movement and gentle music for me is an invaluable experience that I believe I will pass on to my little viewers.
