This April I am choosing to raise money for Imhotep LLC. This fundraiser is to launch our Prevention Education program in Guatemala this summer for indigenous children in rural areas and hazardous work sites. Not only will $5,000 provide us the resources to launch this program, but it will provide food, water and education materials to the children in need.
I am sure you are all aware that poverty and child starvation is one of the main issues in Guatemala. Not only is there a major drought in Guatemala right now, but not many schools have water or food for their students.
Will you help us provide basic needs to these children? Will you help us address the root causes of labor trafficking?
We are providing programs that prevent the labor trafficking of 100 Mayan children in Guatemala. We will continue to identify at-risk and victimized youth through ongoing community assessments in Chimaltenango and Zone 3. Funds will be used to protect and serve the people and their land that the traffickers target to exploit. By providing education, safe work opportunities, vocational training, and basic needs, we will be addressing the root causes of labor trafficking.

This fundraiser is not supporting any active projects.
