Support Kady's Nonprofit

Kady is the founder and executive director of Raising Awareness with Students — a non-profit 501(c)3 organization seeking to end the plague of minority health disparities deeply rooted in the urban community. Their main focus is disease prevention programming, health education, and health awareness. RAWS has been able to visit Harvard Medical School to discuss bioethics and human rights in the prison system. RAWS hosts an annual retreat that provides a team building experience and mental health rejuvenation for their team.

Kady originally began RAWS to raise awareness for an illness that directly affected her entire family: Diabetes. After establishing the organization on campus, she saw it as beneficial to add programs and events about illnesses that affected other families as well.

Founded on Michigan State University's campus during the fall semester of 2015; the purpose of Raising Awareness with Students is to promote health awareness and prevention to students in the school system with a primary focus on students in the Detroit Public School system. Providing health awareness, service to its community and donating funds to impoverished schools is their top priority.
