Transforming Community for Social Change (TCSC) needs funds to pay Peter Serete's salary and benefits on a timely basis. Peter is the Program Manager for TCSC/Friends Church Peace Teams (FCPT). Peter, then 21 years old, was in the initial project in 2003 when the Alternative to Violence Project (AVP) was introduced to Kenya. He quickly became an experienced lead AVP facilitator. Then in 2011 he was at the first Healing and Rebuilding Our Community (HROC) training in Burundi and has become a lead HROC facilitator also. He has been to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Nigeria to train people in HROC. In 2011 he also initiative the TCSC/FCPT Citizen Reporter/Call-in Center program for the 2012 election. This included helping to train 1200 Kenyans as citizen reporters. He has also been responsible for the development of AVP and HROC in the Kakuma Refugee Camp. The picture was taken when he was leading an AVP workshop there. Funds to pay Peter's salary and benefits have decreased to that it is necessary that supporters of TCSC/FCPT donate so that Peter can continue to receive his salary on a timely basis in order to continue the peacemaking work he has been doing for the last sixteen years.
