Safe Water, Healthier Families, Stronger Communities
I started this GivingTuesday 2026 fundraiser because I believe that access to safe drinking water is a fundamental human need and that no family should struggle to obtain this essential resource.
In Degehabur, Somali Region, Ethiopia, vulnerable families face serious challenges accessing safe and reliable water. A damaged community water system requires rehabilitation to restore this vital service.
As Vice Executive Director of East Action Organization (EAO), a locally rooted Ethiopian humanitarian organization, I have witnessed the challenges faced by vulnerable communities and understand the importance of sustainable access to clean water.
I selected the GlobalGiving project “Restore Safe Water for Degehabur Families” because it directly addresses an urgent community need while promoting better health, dignity, and resilience.
Our overall project fundraising goal is $20,000, and my immediate GivingTuesday 2026 goal is to raise $1,000 from at least 10 generous donors.
Your contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100, or any amount will help us move closer to rehabilitating the damaged water system and restoring dependable water access.
Safe water means healthier children, reduced water-related health risks, improved dignity for women and girls, and stronger communities.
Every donation matters. Every act of generosity brings hope. Every supporter can make a difference.
Please join me this GivingTuesday by donating and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, colleagues, and networks.
Together, we can help restore safe water, protect health, and build a healthier future for Degehabur families.
With sincere appreciation,
Dr. Siraj Aden Hassen
