Covid-19 has indeed changed the lives of several women in the poorest communities in Nigeria and around other parts of the world. During the lockdown in Nigeria, a young widow with two children of whom one is an infant was spotted begging for alms with very few people giving her little support that obviously could only sustain her for a day or two. However, if this young widow had learnt a skill, she would certainly be able to afford a days meal to feed her and her children and she would not have to beg for alms daily to survive. it is for this reason that we seek to raise funds to help offer free training for 50 of the poorest women in Ochima community in Enugu State , Nigeria.
Rosemary is an amputee and one of the several beneficiaries of Barrister Sam Otoboeze Foundation (BSOF) who not only benefited from a prosthetic limb donation, a free training but also was given a seed grant of $115 to start-up her own business. Today, Rosemary can feed herself well and is about getting married . Her testimony is one of the 360 Degrees turnaround recorded by BSOF in touching and changing the lives of many women just like Rosemary.
By choosing to support BSOF in raising this funds to change the lives of these women by learning how to make bags, shoes, fashion designing, beads making . it will go a long way to change their current stories to a more hopeful and fulfilled one
