A Qualified Charitable Distribution
(QCD) is a Tax-Wise Way to Give
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to GlobalGiving can help you meet your required minimum distribution while fueling life-changing work in communities worldwide.
A QCD (also known as an IRA Charitable Rollover) allows individuals 70½ or older to make a direct gift from their IRA to a qualified charity like GlobalGiving. These gifts may be excluded from your taxable income, helping you lower your tax bill while amplifying your impact.
You must be 70½ or older
You must have an IRA or qualified retirement plan
A QCD can count toward your required minimum distribution and may be excluded from your taxable income whether you itemize or take the standard deduction.
