A happy ending for Theo!. Theo was released successfully in his surroundings. He was extremely delighted to be back and is being cared for by the local residents. A lovely ending considering the hardship he went through. You have made this happen through your donations.Your donations helped pay for Theo's treatment and boarding expenses.
As you may be aware, Theo was rescued over one year ago by Blue Cross of India with a severe wound on his left foreleg. Due to the severity of his injury, he was taken to a private clinic for treatment. He was operated upon and the surgery was 90% successful. Subsequently, he had to undergo two successive minor surgeries. Theo o had to undergo a long recovery period at a foster home. Finally, the D-Day arrived when he was declared fit and could be released. Since, he has been away for a long time from his surroundings, we went and checked out the place and made sure he would be cared for when released. We found the place safe and people were willing to care for him. The next week we took there and his happiness was boundless. He jumped out of the cage and started to examine the surroundings. The last time we checked on him, he was fine and enjoying his freedom. Bye Theo. We sure miss you.
At Blue Cross we have many cats that come with complications requiring specialized care and treatment. This project helps such cats.We are grateful for your support to help these unfortunate cats.Thank You
Pictures speak a thousand words as the saying goes. This is true for cats in the shelter. Our cats are happy, healthy and safe. The cats are vaccinated and neutered. They spend their days happily roaming around in the facility, as we beleive that cats need freedom to express their natural behaviour. You, the donor, made it happen!.You can see for yourself in the attached pictures. These cats have nowhere to go and no place to call their home. Many of these cats have been rescued from hospitals which have a strict 'no animal 'policy. Sadly, cats are still being abandoned in our shelter and we try our level best to find them homes and give them a good life.
The progress in the past three months has been tremendous. We have neutered 100 cats and safely rehabilitated them. We have also rescued and treated more than 100 street cats. Our newest arrival is Salie who has injured her front and hind legs. She is presently undergoing treatment and doing well. Salie is malnourished and needs special attention. Salie would not have a chance at survival in the outside world. At Blue Cross we are able to rescue and treat these homeless animals. This has been made possible because of the donations that we receive from kind-hearted donors like you.
Theo underwent one major and two minor surgeries on his injured left foreleg before he was declared fit. He is now healthy and loves to run around. He is in rehabilitation as he needs time to start using his injured leg fully. He walks with a slight limp, He is scared as you can see from his photo. He always has a worried look!
He has been in treatment for four months and has been an excellent patient. He never complained on being caged. Thanks to your generous donation, Theo can now lead a normal life. Your donations are a life saver to Theo and cats that need urgent medical attentions
