We envision a future where Kenyan girls confidently shape their futures, in communities committed to her safety and dignity. Achieving that future requires addressing the root causes of gender inequality across a girls' entire ecosystem. Working through the Flying Kites School Network, our primary objectives are to: Empower Girls - building girls' agency and support networks by providing information, resources, and material support in a school environment. Working through the Flying Kites School Network, our primary objectives are to: Empower Girls - building girls' agency and support networks by providing information, resources, and material support in a school environment. This includes establishing Girls United clubs to create personal support networks, providing resources and knowledge related to sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, self-efficacy, and empowerment. Build Capacity - enhancing the abilities of teachers, schools, government agencies and communities - including boys and men - to share gender-equitable beliefs and implement gender-equitable practices. This includes training and supporting female teachers to lead Girls United clubs, conducting learning workshops for teachers and students at school, and providing digital skills training for all teachers. Strengthen systems - partnering with government stakeholders and implementing holistic programs in public schools to create a framework to address barriers for girls. This includes training Child Protection Volunteers as resources for gender-based violence prevention, reporting and response.
