Mission

The Tibet Humanitarian Project supports projects to improve education, health and the environment in Kham, Tibet. THP works in partnership with communities to create an infrastructure for sustainable development.

Programs

The Tibet Humanitarian Project has helped to bring a reliable source of fresh water to a remote community in Tibet. This has involved the engineering and building of reservoirs and the laying of a delivery pipeline to the community. We have also supported the planting of thousands of evergreen and fruit trees since 2006 with the goal of re-forestation and erosion control. In 2006 we also launched a pilot women's health project that now reaches over 30,000 women in Tibet.
