PURE is a nonprofit school program that provides high-quality education in a residential setting for young African American males in Memphis. At PURE, our mission is to empower underprivileged youth to overcome generational poverty through the power of academics, athletics and character development. Our vision is to create Memphis' first urban, elite boarding school. We believe providing a high-quality education and stable housing is the catalyst for breaking these generational cycles of poverty. This disruption will ultimately yield a new generation of young men who make life choices based on their potential rather than their present circumstances.
