Mission

Strategies for International Development (SID), a U.S. nonprofit, designs, proves, and promotes better methods for helping poor farmers make the transition from subsistence to sustainable commercial farming. There is not enough funding for reaching all the poor farmers in regions of hundreds of communities and thousands of farm families. Most farmers in a region produce a common cash crop, and we have developed an approach that gives the majority of them a chance to graduate from poverty.
