Mission

Empreza Diak (which means Good Business) is an award winning Timorese organisation that works to end poverty in Timor-Leste. Our mission is to economically empower the women and men living in poverty in Timor-Leste by creating new livelihood opportunities, providing innovative training and starting small businesses to build better futures. Timor-Leste is a Small Island Developing State, where 70% of the population lives in rural areas, outside the market economy. 40% of the population survives on less than US$1 per day. 90% of consumed goods are imported.
