Identify the sick children Our local contacts, doctors coming from 42 countries, send us medical files about children. Then, we carefully study them. 2. Organizing the stay of the children in Fance During their trip to France, the staff of Aviation Sans Frontieres takes care of the children. 3. Staying with the host families At the airport, children meet with their volunteer host family. The latter lives close to the Association's partner hospitals, and is completely available for 8 weeks. 4. Surgery After the preparatory examination, children receive surgery as soon as possible. 5. Convalescence & way back After spending a few days at the hospital, children return to their host family. Once cured, children fly back to their home countries... MECENAT CHIRURGIE CARDIAQUE GOES FURTHER Scholastic sponsorship Mecenat follows the health status of each operated child. For some, the association can organize academic support to help them catch up on schoolwork they may have missed due to their health complications or for financial reasons. Training The association has a network of over 80 doctors in France and in developing countries to improve diagnosis and medical surveillance of operated children. Missions abroad In order to get a better understanding of the local issues and to strengthen cooperation with the doctors from the children's countries of origin, Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque carries out missions on average 4 to 5 times a year.
