Woman, especially in rural areas are underprivileged. They are prevented from going to school for formal education, married off early and are often looked upon as some sort of burden. When they are married young without any formal education, they don`t have any skills to earn for themselves. This causes a huge problem in rural areas raising the risk of unsafe migration for work and women trafficking.
Journey Home Foundation Nepal, keeping this problem in mind, has initiated skill development and vocational training for women, so that they can earn for themselves. JHF provides them skill of sewing, cooking, beautician training etc.
We are providing trainning to 6-7 girls, and some of them have started working in their respective villages as well. Currently most of the girls choice of skill development has been sewing followed by cook training. As sewing is seen more lucrative source of income in village, the girls are choosing the sewing classes.
We hope that we can provide them the very best training programs for their welfare and also for their society.
We are thankful for you help and support. And we hope to get such continuous dedication in the future.
Cheers!!
