Mission

Amani Orphanage is a not-for-profit residential and educational program for children in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. Amani seeks to provide safe housing, nutritious food, quality education and healthy socialization for orphans and children of unable parents. Amani seeks to not only keep children from the streets, but to also enrich their lives and lead them to becoming active and engaged citizens upon reaching adulthood. Amani is committed to this mission because if the political, economic and social stability of an East African nation (or of any country) is to advance, her hope lies in the children who will grow to lead, support and empower others.
