Starfish Impact School

Just 10 percent of Guatemalan indigenous girls who live in rural communities are enrolled in secondary school, and less than 1 percent continue on to university. Starfish has embarked on a new journey to launch our first all-girls' secondary school in January 2017. We believe that by combining our intentional, holistic program with highly trained educators and a rigorous academic model, our Girl Pioneers will truly be able to realize their infinite impact and create long-lasting change. project reportread updates from the field
Literacy for first class of 50 Guatemalan students

We are just three short months away from opening the Starfish Impact School and we need your help! One of our primary goals is to foster a lifelong love of reading in our students. We need your help in building out our library, starting with our first book: Esperanza Rising. For many of our girls, this will be the first book that they are reading not only for academic purposes, but also as part of an ongoing effort to experience learning as something fun, interactive, and engaging.
