To create and implement programs which contribute to sustainable human development in order to allow individuals to take control of their own health, productivity, and lives.
Yo quiero, Yo puedo (IMIFAP) has identified the common bases of a range of personal and community issues and developed a broad life skills (eg. cognitive-problem solving, analytic thought, emotional-empathy, expression and management of emotions, social-conflict resolution, negotiation skills) and psychosocial barrier (eg. shame, guilt, prejudice, fears) reduction model of programming that brings about long-term changes in people's wellbeing, identity and outlook on life. By extending and scaling up our programs this model has reached over 15 thematic areas, 19 million people, and 14 countries.
We support over 30 projects every year on the following areas: Education, health, citizenship and productivity. For 2013, we plan to strengthen three strategic programs that will help improve the quality of life of marginalized communities in Mexico
