Overdue report

Aglaya, got into the shelter after the owner death
Aglaya, got into the shelter after the owner death

Hello dear friends and helpers of the shelter!
It's time to share our news with you and tell about the shelter's pets.
During the time that has passed since the last report, there were sorrows and joys - some of the animals left without waiting for their man, but someone turned out to be saved and transferred to a new loving family ...... Joy and sadness are always go together in our business. But the main thing is not to lose heart and be able to see positive moments, even when you are sad. Your help and participation in the life of the shelter helps us a lot in this! We feel that we are not alone, that there are many like-minded people around who will help and support!
Initially, our shelter accepted only dogs, but gradually cats flock to us. First 1, 2, then more and more ..... now more than 250 cats live and wait in our shelter for owners. They have a different size, color, character and age, but they all need an owner.
Look at the photos, how beautiful they are!
In the end, as always, I want to say THANKS to everyone! All our work is carried out on donations and is possible only thanks to the help of caring people from all over the world. We say many thanks to each of you! You help miracles come true! Thank you!

This is Report Time

Sherlock at the shelter
Sherlock at the shelter

Hello friends!
So the time has come for our next meeting. Every time before writing a report, we think about what to tell, what will be most interesting to our friends .....
And today we decided to tell you about the tough guys - dog handlers, who practice dogs from the shelter for free, teach them the correct behavior on the street, and prepare them for life in new families.
Dog Training Center "Friend" provides training for dog handlers and novice dog breeders. Optional training takes place at our shelters. Classes are held individually with each student and a specific dog assigned to him, with the subsequent transition to work in small groups. In the future, many remain for independent work with other dogs of the shelter under the supervision of a teacher.
During the classes, students teach dogs obedience skills, walk with them, play, work on socialization. Dogs are well and happy to learn, become more contact and relaxed. This gives them more chances to find a new family. And sometimes there are stories of mutual love between a dog handler and a dog, and then a certified dog handler after leaving school leaves home with a beautiful, almost well-bred dog taken from a shelter. What could be better ?!
History: Sherlock was attached to a shelter three years ago. The shelter was his first home in life, since his appearance on admission told us about life at a construction site, or a closed work area. But I want to tell you something completely different ...
Just some 20 years ago, meeting a man with a dog above the average size was commonplace. Walks in parks and in the forest, trips to the bay. It was discovered so many beautiful places that I would never have seen if I had not got a dog. Most people lived in small apartments, this is to the myth that the dog takes up a lot of space. A well-bred, average dog in beautiful professional ammunition so pleases the soul and gaze. Observing the current tendency to abandon large and medium-sized dogs, you begin to get nervous and understand that with such a formulation of the issue, the shelters will ALWAYS be crowded. We have most dogs of medium and above average size. As a result, a joint project appeared with the cynological association "Friend". Sherlock became a participant in the project and worked with the beautiful Valeria, who fell in love with our boyfriend and after graduation could not part with him! Here is such a wonderful story of a big beautiful dog named Sherlock.
In the end, as always, I want to say THANKS to everyone! All our work is carried out on donations and is possible only thanks to the help of caring people from all over the world. We say many thanks to each of you! You help miracles come true! Thank you!

Here it is, our summer

Caesar in shelter
Caesar in shelter

Hello friends!
3 months from last report flew like one day. When you are doing your favorite thing that brings you joy, time always passes unnoticed. Despite all the difficulties, we always try to find a reason for joy - when the animal was saved, when it was possible to find a good owner, when we receive photos and stories about the happy life of animals in new families. All this gives strength to continue what has been started, to develop, to become better and better.
Many animals, for various reasons, have been living in a shelter for many years and it’s impossible to find a new owner for them. They grow up, grow old, start to get sick and then quietly go to another world ......
Older animals are very rarely taken into the family. People are afraid of a quick separation, do not want to care for sick animals. But to spend old age with a loving owner, and not in a shelter, it's so good! We are very happy when there is a person who is ready to take an elderly animal.
One such happy story we want to share with you.
Caesar entered the shelter quite young, was a beautiful and strong dog with a good character. We were sure that he would quickly find a new family. But this did not happen in a year or five years. Time does not spare anyone, because of illness, Caesar lost an eye, then he had a stroke and he almost stopped walking. I had to make for him a special stroller. A miracle happened when no one was waiting for him, Caesar was taken to the family! They love him, take care of him, carry out rehabilitation after a stroke. This is true happiness!
All our work is carried out on donations and is possible only thanks to the help of caring people from all over the world. We say many thanks to each of you! You help miracles come true! Thank!
