Our mission is to build trust and responsibility among Ukrainian youth to foster their active participation in the development of a democratic Ukraine. Building Ukraine Together (BUR) focuses on youth development through volunteering, non-formal education, and strengthening the capacity of local communities. Building Ukraine Together (BUR) focuses on youth development through volunteering, non-formal education, and strengthening the capacity of local communities. Our work aims to equip young people with leadership skills, civic awareness, and resilience, enabling them to take an active role in shaping their communities. Our key goals include strengthening youth capacity and proactive civic engagement, creating a safe environment for youth development (physically, socially, and psychologically), and fostering trust-between people from different regions, within communities, and with institutions connected to BUR. We also advocate for BUR's values and approaches at local, national, and international levels, including through the engagement of international volunteers. Our priority areas of work include youth work and non-formal education, where we create opportunities for developing soft skills and civic participation, including the involvement of veterans in our activities. We organize volunteer rebuilding camps to restore social infrastructure and housing damaged by war. Additionally, we work on memory and commemoration by introducing innovative approaches, such as "green commemoration," to honor heroes and support reconciliation processes.
