The All Women's Action Society, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (AWAM) or Persatuan Pergerakan Wanita, Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor is dedicated to the task of creating awareness and consciousness among the women of the rights of women as enunciated by the United Nations at the General Assembly in 1975 and to work towards the total achievements of those rights. It aims to promote mutual understanding, friendship, co-operation and happiness amongst all women. AWAM is a voluntary Organisation whose membership is open to all women and men aged 18 and above as described in Rule 3 and is not promoted by the desire for financial or material gain.
