The organization collaborates with local communities to address systemic challenges, emphasizing access to education, healthcare, and economic empowerment while protecting and promoting human rights in the remote and neglected areas. Key initiatives include establishing schools in underserved areas, improving infrastructure, and providing resources to foster sustainable development. In the slums of Dandora and Korogocho, where the Organization first began working in 2006, Twins International manages 1 Early Childhood Care Centre (Baby Care) and 8 schools (primary, junior secondary and secondary), together with local community-based organizations, that offer education and support to children living in extreme poverty. The slum areas, characterized by a lack of basic services such as water and sanitation, are home to families who depend on informal work like waste collection for survival. By focusing on education, the organization offers children a path out of poverty and an opportunity to achieve long-term stability. Beyond education, Twins International has implemented programs that empower families and communities through healthcare access, food assistance, and adult training initiatives.
