PawsWithCause is a nonprofit organization that unites art and animal rescue to create meaningful change for both people and animals in need. Our programs bring communities together, fostering a sense of connection, fulfillment, and purpose for those who participate. By integrating elements of art therapy, we help individuals build confidence while promoting behavioral and mental well-being. PawsWithCause partners with other nonprofits whose clients benefit from our simple yet impactful art initiatives. We also collaborate with over 100 local animal rescues, shelters, and sanctuaries to help adoptable pets get seen beyond the cages. By displaying portraits of these animals in community spaces, we increase awareness, encourage adoptions, and shift public perception-emphasizing that adopting from shelters is far more beneficial than purchasing from breeders. One of our key goals is to raise the national pet adoption rate from 47% to 60%, a shift that could significantly reduce or even eliminate shelter euthanasia in the U.S. Each year, thousands of volunteers-both experienced artists and first-time painters-join PawsWithCause, using their creativity to make a difference. Our organization also provides opportunities for underserved and marginalized individuals, including seniors, at-risk youth, military veterans, people with disabilities, and those in the justice system.
