The purposes of the society are: a) to protect the marine environment by conserving and restoring ecosystems and by saving and supporting stressed and endangered forms of sea life for the benefit of the general public; b) to advance education by providing workshops, seminars, conferences, and educational resources on subjects related to marine environments and ocean conservation; c) to undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the aforementioned charitable purposes.
