FemFund’s mission is a systemic transformation in the current structures of power which generate injustice and uphold intersecting oppressions that disproportionally affect underprivileged communities (women, LBTQ+ persons, migrants, people with disabilities, people of colour etc.) and contribute to the destruction of our planet. To achieve a more just world for all of us, FemFund organises resources and provides support to progressive feminist movements that play a leading role in resisting these oppressions and in forging alternative pathways towards a society built around trust, care and solidarity. So far, over 360 groups and organizations have benefited from our support, to which we have transferred a total amount of over PLN 8 million. Thanks to our grant programs, you can receive money for the implementation of feminist initiatives, for sudden and urgent situations, as well as for the stable development of your organization. FemFund was set up in 2018 as a response to the escalating backlash against gender justice. It was as a bottom up initiative of the collective of three feminists (Justyna Frydrych, Magdalena Pochec & Marta Rawluszko). FemFund emerged from the movement and is envisioned as a community-led, power-shifting and participatory grant-maker.
